Aaron Jacob “AJ” Stringer, 29, of Springfield passed away Friday, March 9, 2012, at his home.

He was born in Springfield on September 14, 1982, to Thomas and Kathryn (Walden) Stringer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James R. Conkrite and Kenneth and Mary Stringer.

AJ was a 2002 graduate of Riverton High School. He was formerly employed by County Market and Bunn-o-matic.

He is survived by his parents, Tom Stringer and Kathryn Walden both of Springfield; a brother, Todd Stringer of Springfield; grandmother, Barbara Conkrite of Springfield; several aunts and uncles, including Ruth Stringer, Litina Carnes and John Conkrite; and several cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Sacred Heart Church, with Reverend Stephen Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Chatham Cemetery.
