John B. Rockwood, 39, of Springfield passed away Friday, March 30, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Springfield on February 4, 1973.

He is survived by his son, James Rockwood; mother, Lynn Leinum; father, Mark Rockwood (Karen McClanahan); a brother, Stephen Rockwood; two sisters, Jennafer Rockwood and Lakota McClanahan; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial gathering will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home.

The family requests no flowers, but asks that memorial contributions be made to Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home for the benefit of the Rockwood family.
