CHATHAM, IL – Alexander James Jones IV, 75, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at his home.
He was born February 3, 1943, to Alexander and Helen (Saunders) Jones III. He married Linda Graves on March 22, 1992 in Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Jennifer Jones.
Alex retired from the State of Illinois in 2006 after 30+ years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Alexander James Jones V, Jonathan Hunter Jones, Violet Jeanne Jones, and Joseph Cameron Jones; three grandchildren, Delaynie L. Jones, Alexander "A.J." Jones and Thomas J.C. Jones.
