SPRINGFIELD – Angela Rebecca Hill, 75, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, at St. John's Hospital, encircled by her husband, two daughters, and God's love.

She was born January 26, 1949, to Ansel and Dorothy (Crays) Henson, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Robert P. Hill Jr., her devoted husband of 52 years, on August 28, 1971.

Angela was a trusted Sangamon County realtor for 45 years who most enjoyed helping first-time homeowners navigate the hurdles of purchasing their homes. She ended her career at Charles Robbins Realtors where she mentored new realtors.

Angela was also known as 'Memi' to a special group of people. A flock of 5 grandchildren are fervently dedicated to their Memi, begged for her french toast and apple pie, and delighted at her attendance at their games and events.

As kind, humble, and loving as she was, she was also brave and fierce, defying the odds of beating breast cancer in her 20's and pancreatic cancer in her 60's. Angela loved playing with her grandchildren, sewing, and giving of her time and resources to charitable causes.

She had a strong faith in God as her Lord and Savior and attended a variety of local churches with her family members. She entered her Maker's Arms on her 75th birthday and was received on that day by her mother and father once again for her heavenly birthday.

She is survived by her husband, Robert P. Hill, Jr.; daughters, Christie Marie Magoulias and Laura Beth Heigert; grandchildren, Tate (age 21), Hunter (age 19), Cort (age 12), Lincoln (age 9) and Rebecca (age 7 and her namesake); brother, Jim Henson; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
