SPRINGFIELD – Arlene E. Flury, 78, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Beardstown on May 27, 1947, to Robert and Alpha (Long) Jones; both of whom preceded her in death.

Arlene retired from Memorial Medical Center after 44 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, attending Mustang car shows and was a member of Mustang Outlaws. Arlene was an active member of the Vinegar Hill Neighborhood Association.

She is survived by her son, Lance (Robin) Flury; grandson, Christopher Flury; granddaughter, Ryan Flury; brother, Gary A. Jones; sister, Beverly (Larry) Wake; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2026, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Hanson officiating.
