SPRINGFIELD – Barbara Ann Reno, 82, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026, at St. John's Hospital.

She was born April 8, 1943, to Clarence and Dorothy (Dixon) Johnson, both of whom preceded her in death.

Barbara retired from the State of Illinois in 2004 after 30+ years of service. She also had secondary jobs working in fine jewelry at numerous stores in Springfield. She was a member of The Church of the Little Flower, The Eagles Club and her bowling league team, Reno's Rustlers. She was an avid NASCAR and horse race watcher. She was a nature lover enjoyed hanging out with her friends, photography, and psychology. She deeply loved her family, friends and fur babies and was loved just as much by her family and friends.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Arthur Spradlin; children, Butch (Angie) Reno and Kristine Clisham; grandchildren, Amethyst M. Thomas, Brittany N. Martin and Rebecca L. Flynn; great-grandchildren, Mya, Hailey, Brianna, Lacey, Mason, Julia, and Chad Jr.; brother, James Johnson; sister, Mary Jane Harris; and five nieces.

Private family services will be held.
