ROBY – Barbara Ann (Grippi) Savorgino, of Roby, born June 16, 1955, in Fort Benning, GA, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah (Dennis) Grippi, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

Barbara graduated as a Registered Nurse and worked five years at Memorial Medical Center and twenty-two years at St. Joseph's Home. Barbara enjoyed a vast garden and beautiful flowers surrounding her home and patio. She found immense joy in spending time with her family and grandchildren. Her many hobbies included hiking, boating, fishing, and sharing her love of gardening on Facebook. Barbara helped in establishing a new home and life with her devoted husband. She was a kind, loving and caring soul with a passion for bible teaching.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Larry Grippi.

She is survived by her friend, companion and husband of 29 years, Richard L. Savorgino; two sons, James Brandon Grippi (wife, Suzann) and John Michael Patrick (wife, Hayle); two sisters, Patricia Pendergrass and Betty Kling; two brothers, Charles Grippi and John Grippi; five grandchildren, Kayla Grippi, Ryan Grippi, Lance Patrick, Lilly Patrick and Lydia Patrick; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be accorded by Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. The family will host a graveside service at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois.
