SPRINGFIELD – Barbara G. Tank, 80, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born February 23, 1942, to Gaylord and Mildred (Robinson) Haynes. She married Kenneth Cox in June 1958. He preceded her in death in 2003. She married Jim Tank in August 2017. He preceded her in death in 2019. She also was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie; and brothers, Gaylord, Jr., Sonny, Eddie and Ray.

Barbara began her career at Ideal Drugs. She later worked at Bachman-Keefner Drugs for 30 years and then Andiamo for 20 years. She was an avid Cardinals fan and enjoyed betting on horse racing. She enjoyed socializing with friends at Gary's Koo-Koo Nest and Trailblazers and playing gambling machines.

She is survived by her sons, Michael, Kenny Wayne, Robert and Larry Cox; step-children, Mark (Jenny) Tank and Nicole Tank; grandchildren, Marshall Paul Cox, Wade McKenley Cox; step-grandchildren, Jude Privett, Thomas Seymour, Marissa Tank and Andrew Tank; sister-in-law, Betty Haynes; several nieces and nephews including special nephew, Danny Pulliam.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Reverend Clint Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
