CURRAN, IL – Bernice Kruse-White, 84, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022, at her home.

She was born January 31, 1938, to Ross and Letha (Baker) Brown. She married George Kruse on April 11, 1959. She later married Leonard White and he preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her siblings, Elsie, Wanda, Jake, Gene, Jim, and Clarence "Brownie".

Bernice retired from the State of Illinois. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Auburn.

She is survived by her children, Joe (Angela) Kruse of Loami and Joy Kruse of Curran; six grandchildren, Anthony (Taylor) Pierceall of Berlin, Kandi (Mateo) Sidoli of Springfield, Kody Joe Kruse (Alexis Meyer) of Curran, Natalie (Nathan) Ellenburg of Springfield, Ashli Kruse of Loami and Kate Kruse of Loami; six great-grandchildren, Cash, Klayton, Brody, Hallie, Karlina and Xander; siblings, Charlie Brown, Joann Jones, and Judy O'Neil; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Auburn Cemetery with Cindy Lash officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:30 p.m. at the Curran Township Hall. Please join the family for food and sharing of memories.
