SPRINGFIELD – Betty R. Clotfelter, 87, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025.

She was born September 19, 1937 to Estille and Ruth (Metcalf) Haines; both of whom preceded her in death. She married Robert Monks in 1954. He preceded her in death in 2003. She married Robert J. Clotfelter, Sr. on June 25, 2005 in Boonville, Ind. He preceded her in death in 2024.

Before retirement, Betty worked as a nursing home aide in Indiana. She loved to crochet, crafts, puzzles, play guitar, listen to country music, watch Larry's Country Diner and watch St. Louis Cardinals with family.  She also loved her WalMart and Amazon shopping.  She was a very loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and friend.

Betty is survived by her son, Scott (Yolanda) Clotfelter; grandson, Curtis (C.J.) Clotfelter; great-grandson, Trae Clotfelter; and several nieces and nephews.

Private family services are being held.
