SPRINGFIELD – Betty S. Dudleston, 95, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at her home.

She was born on May 17, 1928, in Sydney, Australia, the daughter of Bert and Vera Cook. She married Warren "Bud" E. Dudleston on July 19, 1947, in Sydney, Australia.

Mrs. Dudleston retired as the cafeteria manager at Butler Elementary School. She had been an active member of Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Betsy (Scott) Gubin of Las Cruces, NM and Tammy Novak (Bill MacNamara) of Lincolnshire, IL; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church with Pastor Margaret Jessup and Reverend Meredith Brown officiating. Please CLICK HERE to view the service live.
