SPRINGFIELD, IL - Betty L. Mitchell, 77, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at her home.

She was born May 14, 1943, to Anthony and Mildred (Urban) Lookis. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Anthony "Duke" Lookis and niece, Kara Lookis.

Betty retired from St. John's Hospital after 30+ years of service. She loved to read and enjoyed mysteries and drama. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Thomas "Jimmy" (Chandra) Mitchell and Tracy (Michael) Bradley; grandchildren, Erin and Brett Bradley and Jocelyn, Jimmy, and Jensyn Mitchell; siblings, Jean Rebbe and Jerry (Jan) Lookis; nephews, Ron and Kevin Rebbe and Barry Lookis and niece, Mandy Lookis.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
