PLEASANT PLAINS, IL – Bobby J. Scott, 85, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia.

He was born October 26, 1935, to Joseph and Emma (Greer) Scott. He married Helen Leverton in 1954. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; son, Robert Joseph; and sisters, Beverly Newton and Patricia Savage.

Bobby retired from Boesdorfer Trucking. He was the owner/operator of Scott Trucking and repaired lawnmowers for residents of the Pleasant Plains area. He was a member of Ashland Church of Christ. He enjoyed cooking and growing his own vegetables to share with friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Terry) Blakeman and Cheryl (Gary) Matthews; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sister, Lana Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
