SPRINGFIELD, IL – Brian D. Williams, Sr. 76, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, at St. John's Hospital surrounded by family.

He was born October 10, 1945, to Otto Williams and Margaret Logar. They preceded him in death.

Brian married Janet C. Holt on May 10 1969.

He is survived by Janet and their six children, Brian D. Williams Jr., Jasen A. Williams (Samantha), Christopher L. Williams, Danny R. Williams, Shelly Moore (William), and Heather D. Williams.  He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  His beloved dog, Thor, survives him as well.

Brian was a garbage man for Capital Waste for 27 years. He then went on to work at Springfield Iron and Metal Company for 10 years. He enjoyed fishing with his sons, camping, watching NASCAR and wrestling. He would often enjoy a cold Busch Lite while doing those activities.

Per Brian's request, cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned.
