SPARTA, TN – Candise E. Miller, 75, formerly of Springfield, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022.

Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and great friend to so many. Candy was born in Decatur, the daughter of Leota Baker Scott and Lawrence Baker. She retired from U.S. Postal Service, lived in Springfield for 48 years and the past 2 years in Sparta, TN. She was a fun-loving, generous, compassionate person who always gave so much of herself to help others. Her friends and family knew they could always count on her to help at a moment's notice. Besides spending time with her husband, her greatest joy was her grandchildren and her fur baby, Bella Mia. Candy was a firecracker, known for her wicked sense of humor, and endless love, fun, laughs, and glasses of wine. She wished for us not to mourn her passing, but instead celebrate her memories and the time we spent with her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Homer Scott; sister, Pamela Hagen, and beloved fur baby, Bella Mia.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Miller; siblings, Larry (Connie) Baker, Vicki Reynolds and Robin (Adrian) Fulks; children, Tammie McKay and Tony (May) Propst; stepchildren, Chari (Mike) Hopper, Lori Hawkins-Durnin, Mykael Lord and Angela (Barry) Slifer; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service at noon on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Reverend Don Pritchard officiating.
