SPRINGFIELD – Carolyn S. Schultetus, 74, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 21, 1949 to Morton W. and Shirley (Farley) Spence III, both of whom preceded her in death. Her brother, Morton "Bill" Spence IV also preceded her in death. She married James Schultetus on August 7, 1970, in Springfield.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Brian (Melissa) Schultetus and Jamie (Shane) Schultetus-Hazelwood; grandchildren, Alex Schultetus, Jack Hazelwood, Michelle (Eli) Farrand and Boston Schultetus; and great-grandchildren, Elodie and Wyatt Farrand.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2024, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home.
