TIPTON, IA – Carroll Guy Hudson, Jr., 81, of Tipton, passed Wednesday, January 3, 2024 in the comfort of his home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, Iowa. There will also be a visitation on Monday, January 8, 2024, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home in Springfield, Illinois followed by a graveside committal service in the Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Springfield. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any donations be made to the Veterans Administration for healthcare.

Carroll, son of Carroll Guy Hudson, Sr. and Wilma Louise Hudson, was born on December 23, 1942 in Springfield. He attended Springfield High School and enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country on the USS Constellation. Carroll spent most of his career as an Industrial Electrician living in different states but finally retired to Iowa for his final employment.

Carroll is survived by his significant other, Catherine M. Sloan; his daughters, Laura Houle and Tina Moak; his son, Steven Hudson; his sister, Sarah Wisemann; and his brothers, Paul Hudson and Brian Hudson; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Wilma Hudson; his son, Guy Hudson; and his sisters, Nancy Hudson and Connie Stanton.
