SPRINGFIELD – Catherine "Cathie" D. Napier, 55, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born November 30, 1969 in Harrisburg to Robert and Donna (Stillwagon) Napier. Her father preceded her in death.

Cathie was previously employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield. She loved older comedies – Blazing Saddles, Caddy Shack and Hear No Evil See No Evil. Richard Prior and Gene Wilder were two of her favorite actors. She also enjoyed crafting artificial floral arrangements in her spare time.

She is survived by her son, Jesse Guzman; granddaughter, Katie Guzman; mother, Donna Napier; sister, Susan Napier; and niece, Monica Redpath.

The family will host a memorial gathering from 10 a.m. until the time of a funeral mass at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Church of the Little Flower, Reverend Al Kemme celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to assist with medical and funeral expenses.
