GIRARD – Claretta Inez Drury, 86, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Eastview Terrace in Sullivan.

She was born September 27, 1937 to Glen and Ora (Clements) Kane. She married David Drury on September 28, 1957 in Springfield.  He preceded her in death in 2021.  She was also preceded by her son, David Drury, Jr.; and granddaughter, Jennifer Drury.

Claretta retired from K-Mart after 30+ years of service and later worked at the post office in Girard. She enjoyed fishing, playing piano and singing in the choir. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Geoff (Judy) Drury, Glenora Drury, Benjamin (Connie) Drury and Ian (Jamie) Drury; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Roselawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Transitions Hospice.
