SPRINGFIELD – Clyde A. Bull, 88, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at his home.

He was born August 24, 1935, to Buell and Ruby (Seymore) Bull. He married Carol Cullen on August 21, 1959. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; 7 brothers and 6 sisters.

Clyde served in the US Army National Guard. He worked as an Auto Inspector for the Illinois Secretary of State and was co-owner of Jerry's Automotive for 44 years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, American Legion and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was also a member of Crappie Club with his brother, Jerry.

He is survived by his son, Mike (Laura) Bull; stepdaughter, Debra Miller; grandchildren, Steven (Jennifer) Monkman, Holly (David) Columbus, Steven (Krissy) Bull and Alan (Alyssa) Bull; great-grandchildren, Mallory Columbus, Lee Monkman, Aiden Bull, Millie Bull and Charlie Bull; brother, Don Bull; sister, Lucille Sherer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2023, at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Linda Strader officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
