SPRINGFIELD – Dean H. Bilyeu, 91, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at his home.

He was born December 28, 1930, to Jay and Rosie (Lawonn) Bilyeu. He married Patricia Greenwood on August 26, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Sheila Ann; son, Patrick Dean; granddaughter, Jessica Bilyeu; six brothers and a sister.

Dean was a US Navy Veteran. He retired from Fiat Allis as a welder. Dean loved gardening and being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers. He was a great provider for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; sons, Mike and Danny Bilyeu; granddaughters, Rachel Bilyeu and Lori Eames; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Bishop Dave Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in Chatham Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
