ROBY - Debbie Melton, what to say, words will do no justice. She was the strongest woman and never complained; even after the hand she was dealt.

She was born October 27, 1959, in California.

Before becoming a supervisor at the State of Illinois, she was a supervisor at Morphotrust. Not just a supervisor, but a friend. When she left for the state, she was so loved that more than 40 cards were sent to her. All I know is she will be more than missed after everything she has been through. She still stayed strong, but she can finally see hers sons, husband, brother, mother and father. She passed with a smile on her face. I hope it was because of the walk to the gates of Heaven. You were loved by many but will be missed by more. Until I see you again.

She is survived by her son, Jacob; grandchildren, Nathan Melton and Sarah Melton; brother, Bill Word; and nephews, Blake and Ryan Word.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kim Clocker and Bill Word; her husband of 45 years, Don Melton; sons, Nickolas and Brandon; and brother, Marty Word.
