VIRDEN, IL – Debra D. Scantlin Kirkendoll, 63, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Memorial Hospice at Heritage.

She was born January 6, 1955, to Norman and Sylvia (Ross) Scantlin.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and two grandsons, Charles Wade Forbes Donahue and McKayle Chrisman.

Debra was a hairstylist and formerly employed by District 186 in the cafeteria. She enjoyed playing BINGO and was an avid Cubs and NASCAR fan. #48 Jimmy Johnson was her favorite driver. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs, especially taking them on walks. She loved time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Janice (Ricky) Davis, Jessica (Carl) Painter, Jamie Forbes (Charlie Donahue) and Michael Forbes (Glynda Williams); 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Norman "Buddy", Jon, and Ricky Scantlin; sisters, Sally King, Janice Scantlin and Mary (Jack) Todd; several nieces and nephews; and her loving dogs, Louie and Scrapy.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the American Legion Post 32, 1120 East Sangamon Ave., Springfield.
