SPRINGFIELD – Donald W. Lindsay, 73, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born February 23, 1950 to Charles C. and Elizabeth (Kayma) Lindsay. He married Vickie Jarvis on May 3, 1980. She preceded him in death in 2013. He was also preceded by his parents; brothers, James L. Lindsay, Charles K. Lindsay and Thomas C. Lindsay; and grandson, Taylor R. Lindsay.

Don was a graduate of Lanphier High School. He worked as a graphic designer at Franklin Life Insurance Company, later AIG, retiring in 2008 after 37 years of service.  He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his children, Daniel (Ellen) Cody, Jill Lindsay and Jennifer Nance; grandchildren, David, Deidra, Logan, Jade, Carter, Will and Caroline; great-grandchildren, Delaney, Delilah, Demi and Charleigh; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Guests are encouraged to wear LA Dodger or your favorite team attire. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2024, at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Linda Strader officiating. Inurnment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
