SPRINGFIELD – Donald D. Lomelino, 90, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025.

He was born in North Palmyra on December 21, 1934, to Marvin and Rosella (Beard) Lomelino. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosella Goodwin; stepfather, Forrest Goodwin; sisters, Frances Mattingly, Carol Hathhorn and Twyla Oller; and brothers, Harold Lomelino and Ronald Lomelino.

Don was a US Marine Corps veteran. He worked for the Illinois Secretary of State for most of his life. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

He is survived by his brother, Ralph Lomelino; sister, Donna (David) Hancock; sister-in-law, Sharon Lomelino; several nieces and nephews; and friend, Diane Wanless.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
