SPRINGFIELD – Donna Lee Matherly, 74, of Springfield, IL passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, at her home.

She was born December 18, 1949 to Donald and Margaret (Carlisle) Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Matherly; father, Donald and step-mother, Sarah Edwards as well as Margaret and step-father, Leroy Carlisle.

Donna married Dennis Matherly on July 2, 1977, in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She owned and operated her own house cleaning business for over three decades before retirement and loved animals as well as growing flowers and plants.

She is survived by her two children, Sara Matherly and Lucas Matherly; grandchildren Arianna, Damian, Anezka and Declan; sisters, Becky, Julie, Beth and Wendy; brothers, David, Tim and Wesley; as well as many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
