SPRINGFIELD, IL – Eva Pauline Nichols, 92, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Heritage Health.

She was born September 6, 1928, to August and Nora (Colburn) Hedrick. She married Lincoln Vern Nichols, Jr. on July 16, 1949. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Carl, Robert, George and Richard; and sisters, Lillian and Mary.

Eva retired from Hobbs Company in 1993. She enjoyed spending time with family, as well as reading and gardening.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Nichols of Alameda, CA and Patricia (Alan) Krofchick of Springfield; grandson, Tyler Krofchick of Springfield; brother, Kenneth Hedrick of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.

A private family graveside service was held at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
