Frances L. Cunningham, 82, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023, at her daughter's home.

She was born in Granite City on November 12, 1940, to Elmer Lee and Vivian (LaPuma) Peterson. She married Jerry Cunningham on June 7, 2002, in Springfield and he preceded her in passing on April 27, 2023. She also was preceded in passing by her parents and a brother, Charles Peterson.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Monica Cimarossa; grandchildren, Bailie, Garet and Dr. Sophia Lantz; step-sons, Ron and Todd Cunningham; several step-grandchildren; several step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Per Frances' wishes, no services were held.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
