SPRINGFIELD, IL – Fred E "Butch" Malcom, Jr., 76, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

He was born October 17, 1944, to Fred E and Marjorie (McGlenn) Malcom, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Blakelynn Lee Brown.

Fred was a US Air Force Veteran. He was the owner and operator of Superior Satellite, Superior Satellite II, and FEM Contractors. He was a member of the Blues Club and Route 66 Cruisers. He enjoyed car shows, traveling, reading, music, (especially Elvis Presley), BINGO, landscaping, horror movies, an ice-cold Pepsi, (no water ever), and loved his sweets. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed fixing things. He loved making people laugh and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Stephanie "Stephie" Malcom, Kimberly "Kimmie" Malcom (Donte Drew) and Frederick E "Bubba" Malcom; their mother, Sandra Malcom; grandchildren, Jasmine, Devin and Jailynn; great-grandchildren, Zy'Aire and Amerah; siblings, Gary, Donald, Mike and Tom Malcom, Judy Kerske and Pam Willoughby; and several nieces and nephews.
