PALMYRA, IL – Gary L. Boblitt, 73, passed away Monday, October 5, 2020, at his home.

He was born September 22, 1947, to Gerald and Mary (Williams) Boblitt. He married Joyce Peeler in December of 1985 at Palmyra Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Gary was a graduate of Divernon High School and a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; stepson, George B. (Tricia) Peeler; grandson, Nathan Andrew Peeler; great-grandchildren, Malachi and Annastasia Peeler; special cousins, Rick and Bev Kydus; his aunt, Norma Jean; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2020, at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
