SPRINGFIELD – Gerald "Jerry" N. Tishler, 82, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025, at Springfield Suites.

He was born October 13, 1942, to Harold and Belle (Goldberg) Tishler, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Phyllis O'Brien on October 9, 1964 and she passed away in 1995. He married Teresa Estill on June 20, 1997. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Robert Tishler; and a brother, Sidney Tishler.

Jerry was a veteran of the US Air Force. He retired from Jewel Grocery Store and later retired from CIT Trucks. He loved riding his motorcycle, woodworking, making lures and fishing. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa; children, David Carson, Michael Tishler, Randy Tishler and Susan Mathy; grandchildren, Daniel, Lindsay, Lauren and Benjamin; and sister, Shirley Friduss.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses West, 4800 Old Jacksonville Road in Springfield. A reception will immediately follow at the Gardner Township Hall, 1266 N. Bradfordton Road in Springfield.
