DAWSON – Gladys D. Bumgardner, 89, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at her home.

She was born June 27, 1934 to William and Jewel (Stephens) Wilson. She married Wayne "Bummy" Bumgardner on October 3, 1953 in Mechanicsburg. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Terry Lee Wilson and Kenneth Ray Wilson; and her beloved toy poodle, Marty.

Gladys was a homemaker for many years. She also previously worked as a bakery/deli clerk and a caregiver. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Richard Bumgardner, Patricia (Paul "Dee") Smith, Susan Miley, Lisa (Kenneth) Harms and Raymond Bumgardner; 9 grandchildren, Larry Bumgardner (Sheri), Craig Bumgardner, Angela White (Justin Ellis), Michelle Pickford, Bryan Miley (Lisa), Jacquie Edelbaum (Brian), Candice Tucker, Nicole Bartman (Andrew) and Krista Tucker (Bethanie Lee); 12 great-grandchildren, Ambrielle, Sarah, Chance, Caty, Cody, Tristan, Karigan, Ruby, Mariah, Madelyn, Kendall and Micah; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Tegan and Lailani; sisters-in-law, Mary Grace Prior and Paulette Bumgardner and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2024, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Hanson officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
