SPRINGFIELD, IL – Glen Eldon "Ike" Bramblett, 90, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021, at his home.

He was born May 19, 1931, to William and Elsie (Bacon) Bramblett. He married Shirley Black on June 7, 1952, at Elliott Avenue Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; grandsons, Johnny Rod, Shane and Billy; granddaughter, Wendy Sue; great-grandson, Jonathan; and great-granddaughter, Kendra.

Ike was formerly employed by Sangamo Electric and Bee Consulting. He was a devoted member of Elliott Avenue Baptist Church and Fairview Baptist Church. He was a die-hard Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and a member of the 38 Club.

He is survived by his sons, Mike Bramblett, Gary (Cindy) Bramblett and Kevin (Laurie) Bramblett; daughters, Linda Guffey, Lori (Steve) Zepp and Jody (John) Prytherch; 29 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021, at Fairview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
