June Lamsargis, 90, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at 4:37 p.m. at home surrounded by her family.

She was born July 4, 1931, in Sherman, to Jewell and Beulah (Stanton) Kennett. She married James Lamsargis on August 1, 1970, at South Side Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Jan Schmidt of Springfield, Debbie (John) Rowley of Springfield, Becky Day of Athens, and Jodi (Jason) McMullan of Springfield; son, Robert Day Jr. of Texas City, Texas; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Gene Kennett of Petersburg, Jim (Linda) Kennett of Springfield, Bill (Linda) Kennett of Springfield and Bruce (Paula) Kennett of Athens; and sister, Sharon Faulkner of Joplin, MO.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; brothers, Dick Kennett, Dan Kennett, and infant brother, Donald Kennett; sisters, Kathy Kennett and Barbara Randall; infant son, Rodney; and granddaughter, Amanda Elmore.

June was employed at Sangamo Electric, Robert Bell Printing Company and Illinois State Police Printing Department.

June was an active member of South Side Christian Church since 1975. She helped with numerous activities within the church throughout the years.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Additional visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2022, at South Side Christian Church with Pastor Brooks Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
