SPRINGFIELD, IL – Gregory M. Ashley, 70, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at his home.
He was born in Charleston, West Virginia, on December 5, 1947, to Wandaline Ashley. He was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Schmitt, Jr.
He is survived by his mother, Wanda Smith; and a son.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, 437 South Grand Ave. West.
Private burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
