SPRINGFIELD – Heath Alan Brown, 50, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, at St. John's Hospital.

He was born January 4, 1974 to James and Sondra (Doan) Brown. He married Traci Wicker on March 10, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, James and aunt, Sharon Doan.

Heath was a US Navy Seabee veteran. He previously worked at Grandview IGA and Petersburg IGA. He was formerly employed by Jiffy Stop Car Washes. He loved to read and enjoyed target shooting and helping his uncle on the family farm. He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks and New York Giants fan.

He is survived by his wife, Traci; step-daughters, Shelbi and Chloe Wicker; mother, Sondra Brown; sister, Shannon Brown; brother, Eric (Vivian) Brown; niece, Kiley Brown; nephew, Logan Brown; uncle, John Doan, Jr; and aunts, Pam (Joe) Putnam, Patti (Mike) Torchia and Libby (Joel) Jones.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home.
