Helen B. Daubach, 87, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023, at The Bridge.

She was born February 20, 1935, to Daniel and Carnation (Cottrill) Speakman. She married Hubert Daubach on June 9, 1962, in Taylorville. He preceded her in death in 2015. She was also preceded by her parents; step-father, Olen L. Buckles; son, Daniel Daubach; grandson, Trey Daubach; and son-in-law, John Layendecker.

Helen was a lunch lady for District 186 and later retired from the Illinois Secretary of State.

She is survived by her children, Terry Hinton, Mike (Kathleen) Hinton, Guy Daubach (Martie Vincent), and Sherri Layendecker; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; grandpup, Bernie; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, with Reverend Rick Bilyeu officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville.

Memorial contribution may be made to PAWS Jackson, the shelter from where her grandpup, Bernie, was adopted.
