DECATUR – Helen Z. Hadix, 75, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Veteran's Villages in Danville.

She was born September 14, 1949, to J. Wilson and Iva (Palmer) Douglas. She married Richard D. Hadix on May 1, 1972. He preceded her in death in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Ruth Wilson; and brother, John Wilson Douglas III.

Helen was a US Air Force Veteran. She was a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church in Decatur. She loved airplanes and reading.

She is survived by her foster daughter, Mary Hicks; aunt, Margaret Hazelton; several cousins; and many extended family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
