SPRINGFIELD, IL – Helen Louise McAuley, 90, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, at Parker Nursing and Rehab in Streator.

She was born November 15, 1931, to Leo and Marie (Robinson) Brazier. She married Orval McAuley on October 2, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1999.

Helen was formerly employed by Sangamo Electric and Caterpillar in Aurora, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and Women of the Moose.

She is survived by her children, Hugh McAuley, Helen Lea McAuley and Theresa McAuley; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Pastor Larry Hanson officiating.
