SPRINGFIELD, IL – J. Marie Brockman, 98, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017, at Heritage Health.

She was born January 13, 1919, to Jeffie and Martha (Hazelwood) Fentress.  She married John W. Brockman on August 15, 1936. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Stella Matrisch; two sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her sons, John (Linda) Brockman and David (Karen) Brockman; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. until time of service at noon on Friday, December 1, 2017, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, with Pastor Jim Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
