SPRINGFIELD, IL – James F. Elliott, 66, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022, in St. Pete Beach, Florida.

Jim was born June 17, 1955 to Walter and Marilyn (Snyder) Elliott. He married Sandra

Emerson on November 27, 1976. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Thomas Elliott.

Jim retired as a Senior Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force after 27 years of service. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Springfield Bicycle Club and St. Petersburg Bicycle Club. He enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Sarah Deen and Shane Elliott; two granddaughters, Anna and Rachel; siblings, David Snyder, Jonathan Elliott, William Elliott and Jeanne Elliott; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of a memorial service at 4 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, with Pastor John Swinford officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central Illinois Food Bank or Forever Home Feline Ranch.
