VIRDEN – Jamie K. Forbes, 46, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022, at St. John's Hospital.

She was born October 9, 1976, to Debra Scantlin and David Forbes. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Charlie Donahue II; mother, Debra; niece, Reyna Forbes; and her grandparents.

Jamie was a graduate of Girard High School, class of 1994. She was formerly employed with Camelot Community Care Center, Lutheran Child Family Services, Goodwill and was currently employed at St. John's Hospital. She was a former member of the Auburn Eagles Club. She enjoyed collecting antiques and frogs, coloring and drawing, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Her sons were her pride and joy. She was a sweet soul.

She is survived by her sons, Blake Sebastian and Ethan Zane Donahue, and their father, Charlie Donahue; father, David (Sherry) Forbes; sisters, Janice (Rick) Davis and Jessica (Carl) Painter; brothers, Michael (Angie) Forbes and Jotham Forbes; nephews, Mason Forbes, Spencer Davis and Michael Wade Forbes; and nieces, Lacy and Rikki Davis, McKayla Forbes and Carly and Lilianna Painter; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 157 West Jackson Street in Virden.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Camp Coco, in memory of her niece, Reyna.
