SPRINGFIELD – Janet Eliza Esper, 74, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born November 26, 1947 to Herbert and Nora (Fiken) Earl. She married Larry D. Esper on April 22, 1967, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She was preceded in death by her parents; 11 siblings; son-in-law, Jason Parker; and several nieces and nephews.

Janet was a homemaker and a member of Beta Sigma Phi and United States Women of Today.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Tracy (Rodney) Bergae, Larry (Laura) Esper, Jr., Melissa Parker and Allison (James) Weedman; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Klunick; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery. To view the service live CLICK HERE
