SPRINGFIELD – Janet A. Hatchett, 73, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at St. John's Hospital.

She was born in Pontotoc, Mississippi, on October 25, 1950, to Robert L. and Tommie Hatchett, Sr.; both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by four siblings, Barry, Henry, Donna and Alisa Hatchett.

Janet retired from St. John's Hospital after 30+ years of service. After retirement she was a room grandparent at Hazel Dell Elementary and Laketown Elementary Schools. She loved sports and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

She is survived by her children, Brandon Hatchett and BryAnn Hatchett; siblings, Larry Hatchett, Wanda Hatchett and Robert Hatchett, Jr.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Time of Sharing will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home.
