SPRINGFIELD, IL – Janet L. (Rice) Koehne, 80, passed away June 30, 2020, at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born November 29, 1939, in DuQuoin to Zeb and Gertrude (Bowles) Rice, both of whom preceded her in death.

Janet was a long-time resident of Springfield, Illinois. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, sewing and baking apple pies for family birthdays. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sisters, Frances DeWitt of Texas and Carol Norman of Springfield; daughter, Beth (Jerry) Winter of Springfield; two grandchildren, Donnie and Lindsay; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and cousins, David (Jane) of Indiana and Dennis (Isabelle) of Canada.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Primitive Baptist Cemetery in DuQuoin, Illinois.
