SPRINGFIELD, IL – Jo Ann Mary Swalley, 79, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.

She was born June 22, 1942, to Henry and Bernadine (Hoelscher) Schoo. She married Robert Swalley on December 29, 1962, in St. Louis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Shirley Ann Swalley; and several brothers and sisters.

Jo Ann worked at Pizza Hut over 20 years. She enjoyed being a mother and going out with her friends once a week for shopping and lunch.

She is survived by her sons, Robert (Victoria) Swalley, Jr. and Joseph Swalley; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Private family services were held.
