SPRINGFIELD, IL – Joann Vicari, 47, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 2, 1974, to Joseph and Patricia (Schmitt) Vicari; both of whom preceded her in death.

Joann was employed by Lake Shore Learning Center and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was hardworking and loved caring for children. She had an infectious smile and was a friend to everyone. She loved her family and was a dearly loved mother, sister, aunt and grandma. Joann also enjoyed shopping.

She is survived by her son, Keegan Dearing; fiancé, Bobby Smith; grandchildren, Ryder Ritchie and Bentleigh Taylor; sisters, Angela (Todd) Donalson, Mary Vicari (fiancé, Bruce Power) and Karen (Bill) Cearlock; nieces, Ashleigh Cearlock, Karmen Vicari-Endres, Taylor and Carly Donalson; and many cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Grant officiating.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
