SPRINGFIELD, IL – John H. Hall, 84, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center.

He was born October 20, 1933, to George and Lola (Runkles) Hall. He married Nancy Smith on May 8, 1955. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son; a brother and two sisters.

John was a US Air Force veteran and a member of South Seventh Street Assembly of God Church. He retired from Teamsters Local 916 and was a pit steward at Shaheen's Racetrack.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Victoria "Vicki" J. (Tony) Eriksson, Theresa "Teri" K. Cox, John F. (Vicki) Hall, and Brenda M. (Kip) Nelson; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Etelka "Jane" (Jack) Retherford, Vera Kirk and Delores "Jean" Edgeton; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, with Pastor Joe Stone officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
