SPRINGFIELD, IL – John C. Hills, 89, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at his home at Hickory Glen.

He was born December 10, 1928, to Perry and Mildred (Crone) Hills. He married Alice White, his childhood sweetheart, on June 10, 1949, in Canton.

Surviving are his children, Margie (Bill) Burg, Jan Smith, Rob (Jill) Hills and Lori (Don) Wright; five grandchildren, Bill (Betty) Burg Jr., Angela (Jay) Burg Smull, Kara (A.J.) Hood, Rebecca (Kyle) Wright, and Jillian Hills; eleven great-grandchildren, Matthew Burg (Kristen) McCoy, Sierra (Levi) Burg Banton, Amanda Burg, Pace Smull, Mica Smull, Faith Smull, Angel Smull, Zane Smull, Jonathon Smull, Selas Smull, and Mazy Smull; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Violet Wages; and many special nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his wife; parents; sister, Hazel Hills; brother, David Hills and a set of twins.

Private family services were held. Burial was in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Williamsville.
