SPRINGFIELD, IL – John Joseph Kearsey, Jr., 60, a mechanic and musician, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022.

He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on March 2, 1961. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Wesley and David Michael.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; sons, Jay Jay and Steven; mother, Sue; step-father, Don; sister, Shauna Thomas; step-brothers, Andy and Grayson; step-sister, Carla; father-in-law, Ron; mother-in-law, Bertha; and two dogs, Dougie and Chase. He has five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six nieces and nephews; four sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and many friends.

We are going to miss listening to you play music, your laugh and your handsome smile. You always brightened up the room no matter how hard life was. We could not have asked for a better husband, father and friend to share our lives with. You will be in our hearts forever and missed very deeply.
